CDI Survey for San Diego Deafies

I am copying and pasting this email from SDCRID (San Diego Chapter of RID). They are conducting a survey to see whether the Deaf community in San Diego would be interested in signing up for CDI training workshops if offered in the future.
This is your chance to speak up if you wish to learn about Deaf interpreting. The SDCRID need to see the demand so they can serve you, the Deaf community.

Hi all,

SDCRID is doing a survey to find out how many deaf individuals in our community are interested to become deaf interpreters and their willingness to be trained. Your feedback will be helpful in determining whether SDCRID should offer training here in San Diego.
The more responses I get, the better! :-)

The survey can be found at this link:

Any questions can be directed to me at representative-2@sdcrid.org.

Thank you,

Naomi Sheneman
SDCRID Deaf Community Representative

Hey Kirsi-
There is already a group of us working on bringing a CDI workshop to San Diego next year. Bethany Hooten, Julie Fisher and I were recently at St. Catie's in MN for a three day CDI workshop and are working to bring that workshop to San Diego in August 2009 and we are 100% sure it will happen so SDCRID is probably just gauging support for this since they will have to jump on board to support it.
Stay in touch!
